None of these rules will be changed or altered
This is not a big money event; this is meant to be something fun for all our local street racers. Payouts will be based off of entry fee’s and sponsor donations so the more cars the better the pay out.
All racers who pay their entry within 7 days in advance will receive a $5 discount and a track day shirt to be given at the gate. (Shirts for the first 50 paid entries only). This will help prepare payouts and show interest to others. A list of paid registered racers will be posted to help show attendance.
The Entry fee will be $35 for Pre registered and $40 at the start location
Entry cards will be handed to all pre registered (Do not lose this or you will pay again)

nice rules, wide open!

if you can get the word out, even the street class should still be well in the single digits.

At our event last year we had 32 cars entered..
There were 3 cars running 10.99 and quicker..
we even had 8 cars running 13.50 and slower..
Well rounded event for sure..
I believe the cutoff in the loosers bracket was in the 12.3x range

TLKSCHP is doing a fantastic job with this race and it will continue to grow

Are you having second thoughts about having an Outlaw class?

At this time (even though we are still 3 months away) there are 11 paid entries in the street class and
0 entries in the Outlaw class. Shoot there has not even been any interest at all in the Outlaw side..
I am not sure it would be a very wise decision to keep the class and only have a hand full of cars and
not be able to have a good payback for them..
So if we have say 40 street cars and 5 outlaw cars it would be impossible to pay back the 2 classes evenly
like we would want to .
I am sure we will keep an open mind until the time gets closer and hope people come out of the woodwork..
The only negative feedback we had last year was that all these racers wanted a class for the Big Tired cars so we added
the class.. Well right on form as expected all the whiners may not show up even though they ask for it to happen..
Get us a solid 8, 10 or 12 car field and it will be on for sure..

I have a feeling that people will come out and support it. I completely understand the issues that face this class as my car can only compete in the Outlaw class (I sent a few rants myself in PM's to John already and now feel better and I'm done bitching. I just want to race my lil ol street car and see how it stacks up). I think you will have several entries the day of the event paying 5 extra bucks to keep everyone wondering who will show up and that is fine with me. I'll pony up the 35 and at least try and support it. It's all about the fun isn't it?
